Health Matters: Alberta government invokes notwithstanding clause for 4th time

The Alberta government has invoked the province’s notwithstanding clause for the fourth time, passing a contentious bill that directly impacts the transgender community. Those laws will police names and pronouns in schools, ban transgender girls from participating in amateur female sports, and restrict gender affirming health care for anyone under the age of 16.
