Nazem Kadri Foundation Donates $50,000 to London Food Bank for Holiday Support

In a generous display of community support, the Nazem Kadri Foundation has contributed $50,000 to the London Food Bank, aimed at assisting families in need during the holiday season. The donation was made on Wednesday and highlights the foundation’s commitment to making a meaningful impact in the area where Kadri, a London native, grew up.
Established over a decade ago, the Nazem Kadri Foundation seeks to uplift the local community through various charitable initiatives. During an interview, Kadri expressed his pride in his roots, stating, “You always are proud of where you’re from.” He emphasized the significance of community engagement, noting that the London Food Bank operates primarily on a volunteer basis. “We have some great people that are trying to contribute, trying to do what they can to help out the community, not just myself. And we figured we’d hop on board. And this is a great way to help,” he said.
The London Food Bank serves as a vital resource for those facing financial difficulties. Its mission is to act as a front-line agency, providing assistance to individuals and families who are struggling to make ends meet. The organization has reported an urgent need for resources, with 6,125 households receiving support in just one month—October, setting a record for the food bank.
This donation is part of Kadri’s ongoing philanthropic efforts. In 2020, the Nazem Kadri Foundation made headlines by donating $1 million to the London Health Sciences Foundation, which facilitated the establishment of the Ambulatory Surgical Centre at the London Health Sciences Centre. In recognition of this significant contribution, the centre was subsequently named the Nazem Kadri Surgical Centre.
