In-N-Out drops 67 from orders due to ‘6-7’ craze

(CNN) – The fast food chain In-N-Out has banned the number 67 from its order ticketing system because of the viral “6-7” craze.
When workers at In-N-Out call out order numbers, the number 67 is no longer among them, as confirmed by People magazine. An employee says the change was made about a month ago.
Kids and teens would wait for the order number “67” to be called, then swarm the counter to film the announcement and participate in “6-7” celebrations.
“6-7” is a viral slang phrase that members of Gen Alpha love to repeat. The phrase has ties to rapper Skrilla’s song “Doot Doot,” but it’s unclear exactly what it means.
This is the second time In-N-Out has banned a number from its ticketing system. The other culprit is 69, which is also an internet meme due to its sexual connotations.
Even as In-N-Out moves to ban the use of 67, a few of its competitors are trying to capitalize on the “6-7” trend. Wendy’s has added a 67-cent Frosty deal, and Pizza Hut now has 67-cent wings.
