Winter is back in South Florida.

Temperatures dropped into the 50s Thursday morning, and will drop again Thursday night and Friday morning. That’s 10 to 15 degrees cooler than it was on Wednesday morning.

“It feels delicious,” said CBS News Miami meteorologist Shane Hinton. “Nip in the air.”

The afternoon highs also will be cooler, topping off in the mid-70s on Thursday and Friday, with no rain expected, Hinton said.

But then comes the weekend.

Rain chances increase on Saturday and Sunday, along with temperatures.

But Hinton said “another surge of cold air” will return on Monday and Tuesday next week.

Here’s a breakdown of what to expect, according to the National Weather Service:

Benign and pleasant weather prevails today with high temps in the low to mid 70s. There is a high risk of rip currents for all Palm Beach county beaches, and moderate over Broward and Miami-Dade beaches. pic.twitter.com/IIO1kUYe62
