Two people have been injured during a robbery at Yorkdale Shopping Centre, Toronto police say.
Officers were called to the mall on Dufferin Street, south of Highway 401, shortly after 6:30 p.m. for reports of a man stealing from a store.
Police say they also received reports that a male was stabbed and a female was injured.
Police told CTV News Toronto that as the suspect was running away, they knocked over a woman, and a loss prevention officer suffered a cut.
Officers arrived at the mall and located the two victims.
Police say the female victim was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, the male victim who suffered a cut was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the suspect was later located and arrested. They did not say which store was robbed or if any items were stolen.
Police add that there is no risk to public safety.
