EuroMillions players across Ireland are being urged to check their tickets after one lucky punter scooped a jaw-dropping eight-figure prize in Friday’s EuroMillions draw.
The lucky winner stands to take home an eye-watering sum of €17 million after correctly matching all five numbers plus the two lucky stars in last night’s main EuroMillions draw.
The numbers in last night’s main EuroMillions draw were: 7, 25, 30, 37, 41 and the Lucky Stars were 5 and 11.
The National Lottery has now confirmed that the winning ticket was sold in a retail store in the Ulster region, with more details to be announced in the coming days.
The jackpot winner isn’t the only punter celebrating a huge win, as an online player in Limerick became the second biggest winner of the night after scooping the €500,000 top prize in the EuroMillions Plus draw.
The numbers in last night’s EuroMillions Plus draw were: 11, 16, 31, 35 and 38.
Finally, a EuroMillions player in Co Kilkenny is celebrating a €30,745 win after matching five numbers in the main draw.
Lotto bosses have confirmed that the Quick Pick ticket was purchased on the day of the draw, at Kitty’s Cabin, 1 Rose Inn Street, Kilkenny.
EuroMillions players in Ireland are now being urged to check their ticket to see if they were among Friday night’s bog winners.
“We are absolutely thrilled to announce that an Irish player has won the €17 million EuroMillions jackpot in last night’s draw,” said National Lottery spokesperson, Emma Monaghan.
“This is the second EuroMillions jackpot won in Ireland this year, following the historic €250 million win in June.
“We’re encouraging all players to check their tickets very carefully. If you are the winner, sign the back of your ticket and keep it somewhere safe. We’ll reveal more details about the winning location in the coming days.”
Last night’s winners are advised to sign the back of their tickets and to keep them safe, while a notification and an email has been sent to the online winner.
The Friday night winners should make contact with our Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to collect their prize in Lottery HQ.
