Rotherham United make the long trek down to Plymouth to take Argyle on at Home Park this weekend.
Last Time Out
The Pilgrims last entertained Rotherham in December 2023 in a game which saw 5 goals. Jamie Lindsay put the Millers in front on the 16th minute and well into time added on at the end of the first half Lee Peltier challenged Lewis Gibson in the penalty area with the referee showing a yellow to the Millers player, who had to be replaced after the incident injured, and pointed to the penalty spot which Finn Azaz equalised from. Azaz made it 2-1 to the hosts 10 minutes into the second half before the Millers went down to 10 men after Daniel Ayala saw a second yellow for handling the ball. Tom Eaves got an equaliser for the Millers but in the last minute of time added on Morgan Whittaker won the game for Plymouth.
Previous Games At Home Park
The time before that the pair met on Plymouth soil was in February 2022 when a second-half goal from Michael Smith was enough to send Rotherham nine points in front at the top of the league.
April 2018 saw Rotherham travel to Plymouth which saw Richie Towell put the visitors, already with a play-off place secured, in front on the 33rd minute but on 56 minutes a solo run down the pitch by Joel Grant saw him get a deserved equaliser and after being fouled in the box by Will Vaulks in time added on Graham Carey picked himself up and scored the resulting spot-kick giving the host a 2-1 win.
Before that the teams met in a League Two game in April 2013 when the only goal of the game was from Kieran Agard 15 minutes from time to send the Millers fans home happy.
The Millers came away with all three points the season before that at Home Park after former Millers loanee Will Atkinson had put the home side one up minutes into the second half. But 2 goals from Gareth Evans followed by a further 2 goals from Adam Le Fondre saw the Millers win four-one.
The first time the pair met in the Championship at Plymouth was in February 2005. Andy Monkhouse put the visitors in front on 26 minutes but a 51 minute Paul Wotton penalty gave both teams a point.
January 1970 saw Neil Hague bag a couple of goals with another from Dave Lill gave them a 3-1 win.
