Alison Hammond confirms she’s taken a major step with boyfriend, who is 22 years younger

It’s full steam ahead for Alison Hammond and her beau, David Putman, as the ITV presenter has confirmed they couldn’t be happier.
It was early 2024 that rumours first began to swirl that Alison had a new love in her life, following her split from gardener Ben Hawkins in 2023.
The 50-year-old’s new beau’s identity was later revealed as 28-year-old Russian masseur David Putman, and they couldn’t care less about their 22-year age gap.

Alison said David’s age isn’t a problem because he’s incredibly ‘mature and sensible’, while she, on the other hand ‘is not’.
Speaking to the Mirror, the mum-of-one also confirmed that they’ve taken a major step in their relationship and have been living together!

‘Things are going really, really well,’ she gushed. ‘He just has the most beautiful energy, and everyone feels it when they’re in his presence. It’s very rare. I am so grateful that he chooses to spend his life with me.’
Alison said it feels ‘lovely’ to be in love, adding: ‘It makes you more patient, it makes you kinder, because you’ve always got somebody you want to care for — and they’re caring for you.’

Asked whether marriage is on the cards, Alison said not yet, as they don’t feel like ‘they need to’ tie the knot. They’re living together, and they’re ‘happy the way it is’.
‘I don’t need a ring to show my love to somebody,’ she added. However, she was quick to add that if David got down on bended knee tomorrow, ‘it wouldn’t be a no’ from her.
Alison is hoping to have a ‘chilled-out’ Christmas with David and her 20-year-old son, Aidan, whom she shares with her ex-fiancé, Noureddine Boufaied.

Speaking previously to Good Housekeeping UK, Alison said she and David ‘fit like a jigsaw’, and that he’s blended beautifully into her world.
‘I can see how, on paper, you’d notice the age difference,’ she said of their 22-year age gap, ‘but honestly, when we see the word “toyboy” written about us, it bears no relation to what we have at all.’
Alison’s comments about David mark the first time she has spoken in depth about him, after mentioning him on This Morning in November.
