How will Bayern Munich vs. Mainz play out?

To rotate or not to rotate? That is the question for Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany.

Some of the Bavarians need a blow, but with just two games left in the Hinrunde, Kompany’s willingness to use his bench players might be tested.

This seems like a natural place to rotate, but the past has not always shown Kompany being willing to rest key players (even when their play indicates they need a game of downtime).

Regardless…rotate…don’t rotate…it does not matter — Bayern Munich should be able to easily race away from Mainz 05. We are expecting Bayern Munich to put the pressure on from the outset and systemically wearing down Die Nullfünfer.

It just feels like Bayern Munich will make life hell for Urs Fischer (who seems to know and understand how this one might play out), but even an “anything can happen” philosophy might now be able to carry the visitors. The Bavarians are simply better.

Bayern Munich will take a 3-0 lead in the first half before tacking on two more goals in the second half. Let’s call it Bayern Munich winning 5-0 over Mainz.
