Devin Booker, Dillon Brooks questionable for Suns-Lakers on Sunday

Devin Booker (groin) and Dillon Brooks (Achilles) are both questionable to play on Sunday when the Phoenix Suns host the Los Angeles Lakers.

Booker has missed the last three games after suffering a minor strain during the Suns’ win over the Lakers on Dec. 1.

Arizona Sports’ John Gambadoro previously reported the L.A. matchup or Phoenix’s following game on Thursday were the target dates for the star guard’s return.

He was questionable for Wednesday’s NBA Cup matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder but did not play, and Phoenix lost by a franchise-record 49 points. In 22 games, Booker has averaged 25 points per contest.

Brooks did play on Wednesday and saw 26 minutes and had 16 points, two rebounds and one assists in the 138-89 loss to the Thunder.

Brooks has not missed a game since Nov. 6 when he missed six games in a row due to what was first ruled as right groin soreness but was later listed as a core muscle strain.

Brooks was also listed as questionable for Monday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves with left Achilles soreness before he ended up playing.

Across 19 games, Brooks has averaged 21.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists in his first season in Phoenix.

For the Lakers, Austin Reaves is out with a left calf strain. The Lakers guard will be re-evaluated in one week, team reporter Mike Trudell reported on Friday.

Catch the Suns-Lakers at 6 p.m. MST on 98.7 and the Arizona Sports app.
