We knew heading into Mayor of Kingstown season 4 episode 8 that there was a chance something awful could happen. After all, this is a show that historically has killed off killers without warning or without mercy. Just think about the bloodbath at the end of season 3!
So to lose Nishi Munshi’s character of Tracy at this point? It is hardly a surprise on paper and yet, how it happened certainly feels like one! We saw Kyle decline the invitation to join Merle’s crew and as a result of that, they enacted a brutal sort of revenge in taking out his wife. Mitch was left alive, and that creates questions of its own given Kyle’s current whereabouts. Mike has done everything that he can to help him and yet, how much has he actually succeeded? How much will he be able to, given his current circumstances?

While it is always possible that Munshi could appear in flashbacks or the like, it is fair to say she is gone from the series as a main cast member in the present. Speaking to TV Insider, she did her best to answer one big question — how Kyle is going to react to her being gone:
Oh, yeah, I remember one season I said, “I’m his rock, and he’s my rock…” I think he might just spiral — not that he can be out of control, but what he’s gone through, and our family meant everything to us. “I know how much you love me,” and how in this beautiful scene we had, Taylor’s like, “There’s no purpose if I can’t be there for you. What’s the purpose for me?” So I know he did everything for a family, but I’m guessing, yeah, spiral for sure.
We will at least have a little time to watch the aftermath of this in the episodes ahead, but we imagine it will be seismic. Not only that, but we also tend to think that Mike will be out for some revenge of his own.
