Man Utd Ready to Sell ‘World-Class’ £375,000-a-Week Star to Fund Double Deal

Manchester United are increasingly open to selling captain Bruno Fernandes amid their plans to rebuild Ruben Amorim’s midfield, according to CaughtOffside.
The Old Trafford side are eyeing a new midfielder as a priority signing in 2026, with Premier League stars Carlos Baleba and Elliot Anderson topping their shortlist.
Both midfielders are not expected to arrive on the cheap and United are looking for ways to boost the pursuits by offloading some of the club’s highest-earning stars.
Fernandes, who is under contract until the summer of 2027 at Old Trafford, is reported to be earning £375,000 per week after bonuses.
Man Utd Open to Bruno Fernandes Exit
According to CaughtOffside, Saudi Pro League clubs could offer Fernandes a way out of Old Trafford if Man Utd decide to push on with their plans to offload the midfielder.
Both Al Hilal and Al Ittihad are believed to be strongly interested in the Portuguese international, whom United value in the region of £70m.
INEOS view the ‘world-class’ 31-year-old as United’s most sellable asset and as someone worth cashing in on before his contract expiry in just over 18 months.
While the Red Devils hold an option to extend his stay by another year, until June 2028, it remains to be seen whether the option will be exercised given their plans to rejuvenate midfield.
United could also part ways with fellow veteran Casemiro after the season, with the Brazilian’s contract expiring at the end of the campaign.
The same applies to defender Harry Maguire, though both players are being considered for an extension on reduced wages, as GIVEMESPORT reported previously.
Man Utd Could Return for Gallagher
United could explore low-cost options to bolster Amorim’s midfield when the market reopens in January and may return for Atletico Madrid star Conor Gallagher.
The England international was the subject of interest from Old Trafford in the final days of the summer transfer window, but Atletico refused to engage in talks over a loan deal, with little time to sign a replacement.
According to GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Ben Jacobs, United remain interested in Gallagher ahead of January and could be tempted to sign the midfielder on loan in a low-risk move for INEOS.
