Tuesday’s Wordle left many loyal players stumped with one player even describing it as ‘grim.’
This was the second tricky one in a row, with the taskmasters really getting us thinking! Thankfully, we’re on hand with hints, clues and even the final answer.
One of the reasons Wordle exploded in popularity was the way it can be easily shared on social media. A user, revealing they solved after five guesses, said: “Grim that.”
In case you need a refresher, the rules of Wordle are simple — you have six attempts to guess a five-letter word. The game will also tell you when you get close to guessing it, lighting each letter up in three different colors that indicate if and where a letter is used in the answer.

- If letters turn gray, they aren’t present in the word at all.
- Yellow letters mean the letter is correct, but it’s not in the right position.
- Green letters mean both the letter and its position in the answer are correct.
Letters can also turn gray if the same letter is guessed twice but isn’t repeated in the word — in that case, one of those letters will turn either yellow or green, while the second will be gray.
