Moment Paul Doyle drove into Liverpool parade

Liverpool parade attacker Paul Doyle shouted “move” and swore in his car as he ploughed into a crowd at the Liverpool victory parade.
Doyle hit more than 100 people in the space of two minutes on 26 May and was only stopped after a bystander managed to get inside the automatic vehicle and forced its gear selector into ‘park’ mode.
The 54-year-old was sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court earlier to 21 years and six months in jail.
He told police he did it out of fear and panic, but his trial heard these were lies told by Doyle who had “just lost his temper.”
Doyle’s dashcam recorded the moment he screamed “move” and swore at the crowd.
The audio has been placed over footage of Doyle’s car during the attack in a clip shared by Merseyside Police.
Judge Andrew Menary KC said his actions were not ones of “momentary recklessness” but Doyle simply lost his temper in the rampage.
“Your actions caused horror and devastation on a scale not previously encountered by this court,” he said.
