Knicks’ Josh Hart Would Buy New Watch With NBA Cup Prize Money, ‘I Got Robbed in Sept’

New York Knicks wing Josh Hart already has a plan for his prize money if his team comes out on top in the NBA Cup.

“I’ll buy a watch,” he told reporters. “I got robbed in September with no gun. I lost three watches so I have to start replacing those. We’re in Vegas. If I put it on a hand of blackjack, I might be able to double it and get more watches.”

The Knicks and San Antonio Spurs face off in Tuesday’s final in Las Vegas. By advancing this far, Hart and his teammates are already assured of receiving a $212,373 payout. That number climbs to $530,933 if they beat San Antonio.

Hart has a $19.5 million salary for 2025-26, so he’s not exactly hurting for cash. Another six-figure payday will at least cover the value he lost during that robbery a few months ago. He reportedly had watches and a bracelet totaling $185,000 in a duffel bag that was stolen from a New York hotel room.

Even if he hadn’t experienced that misfortune, the 30-year-old might’ve been looking at a watch with his NBA Cup cash anyway. He has a well-documented affinity for luxury timepieces.

With upwards of $500,000 perhaps soon to hit his bank account, Hart will be able to splurge.
