In a jaw-dropping case of like mother, like daughter, Apple Martin has made waves in a piece first worn by Gwyneth Paltrow.
Hitting the red carpet for the New York premiere of Marty Supreme alongside her superstar mother, Martin, 21, well and truly stole the show in her hand-me-down gown.

Simple yet oozing sophistication, the archival Calvin Klein number gave monochromatic minimalism its moment, while scaled-back jewellery pairings elevated the overall effect.
Featuring a swooping neckline and a subtle nod to backlessness, Martin ensured the family heirloom enjoyed a well-deserved outing in support of her mother’s latest project.
Martin’s homage to Paltrow did not stop there; she further emanated her mother right down to her choice of updo, opting for an exact replica of the blonde bun featured in the original look.
Eagle-eyed Paltrow afficionados might recognise the floor-scraping little black dress from its last public appearance at the New York premiere of Emma in 1996.

This proved the peak of Paltrow’s fashion evolution, with her signature minimalism masterfully curated sans stylist.
At the time, she was described by the New York Times as “the actress every designer wants to dress” with her ensembles from that period providing a veritable time capsule to ’90s-era fashion.
And now it appears her only daughter is following in her footsteps as she makes her grand acting return.
Paltrow’s children, who she shares with ex-husband and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, have been regular red-carpet fixtures of late, making multiple appearances in tandem with their superstar mother.

However he has once again showed face with his sister for the New York premiere, indicating Paltrow’s press tour will continue to be a family affair.

Her career-reviving role in the table tennis biopic marks her first time back in the spotlight since stepping back from acting seven years ago.
In a recent stint on Variety and CNN’s Actors on Actors series, the Iron Man alum opened up about the driving force behind her unexpected hiatus.
When asked about her time spent away from the limelight, Paltrow admitted her work ethic had effectively driven her to exhaustion.

“When I was doing it in my twenties, I never took a break,” she began. “So I think I burned myself out a bit.”
Paltrow then made the decision then to approach her career differently; focusing more on her family and “having more of a life.”
