Bo Nix’s Wife Izzy Gets Teary Eyed Over Zach Wilson’s Heartfelt Letter To Partner Nicolette On Her Special Day

Today is an important day for Miami Dolphins quarterback Zach Wilson. His wife, Nicolette Dellanno has her birthday today. Wilson’s career in the NFL appears almost at an end, with him having barely played this season while backing up Tua Tagovailoa at Miami.

However, today is a day for celebrations off the football field. He took a moment to wish Nicolette a happy birthday on his Instagram account. Alongside a series of pictures with her, Zach Wilson wrote the following birthday message for his wife on the post’s caption:

“Happy birthday to my best friend, the most beautiful girl in the world. There’s nobody I’d rather do life with than you. Thank you for always being there for me, loving me the way you do, and making every day better. I can’t wait to grow old together and build the family we’ve always dreamed about. I love you.❤️”

The post elicited a response from Bo Nix’s wife, Izzy Nix, who posted a series of emojis in the comment section.

Bo Nix and Izzy Nix met while they were both attending the University of Auburn, where he was the team’s starting quarterback. Their relationship continued as he moved to Eugene to become Oregon’s starting quarterback. They got married soon before Nix’s first season with the Ducks, in July 2022.

More recently, in October 2025, they announced they’re expecting a baby together.

How Did Zach Wilson And Nicolette Dellanno Meet?

The Dolphins quarterback and Nicolette Dellanno married earlier this year in June in New York City, at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. The wedding came a year after they officially announced their engagement.

In one of the wedding posts, Zach Wilson’s mother wrote the following story about how the two met:

“How did they meet? Zach took his friends from home to a Mets game. Their eyes met. [Zach’s friend] recognized [Dellanno] from of all things TikTok. Zach DM’d her, the rest is history.”

This ought to have been during Zach Wilson’s time as a quarterback for the New York Jets, judging by the story of attending a game at Citi Field.
