Hugh Jackman Is Unrecognizable in Transformation for Robin Hood Role

Prepare to see Hugh Jackman like never before.
The first images from A24’s upcoming film The Death of Robin Hood were released, and the Greatest Showman star is simply unrecognizable as the film’s titular outlaw.
In the picture released by A24 on Dec. 16, the 57-year-old is hard to identify as he sports long curly grey hair and an equally rugged and grey beard. One thing that Hugh managed to maintain was his large stature, which he dresses in black and gray fur to keep him warm in the cold and rainy Northern Ireland terrain.
As for whether Hugh’s Robin Hood will follow the hero’s “steal from the rich and give to the poor” lore writer and director Michael Sarnoski is keeping the plot for the movie—set to be released in 2026—under wraps.
However, when it comes to the return of Hugh’s Wolverine-esque body, he did tease to Entertainment Weekly in an interview published Dec. 16, “You will be seeing some [of Hugh’s] musclebound physique.”
