Watch: Zak Crawley pulls off sensational catch of the Ashes series

Zak Crawley was standing almost on the exact same spot at the Adelaide Oval where Jonathan Trott pulled off a stunning run-out at the start of the 2010-11 Ashes Test that ended in an England innings victory.
Crawley, much taller than Trott but athletic and quick on his feet, did not need to run out Travis Head, but he did pull off arguably the catch of the series on day one of the third Test.

Head, on 10, drove on the up, mistimed his shot off Brydon Carse and the outside edge flew low to Crawley’s left at cover. He dived, scooped the ball up one-handed and just managed to keep it off the turf.
This is Head’s home ground and he has scored three Test hundreds at the Adelaide Oval, the short square boundaries suiting his game.
He was perhaps surprised by Carse pitching the ball up, the wicket coming as a surprise after a pretty poor opening spell from the England bowler who dropped short and was picked off square both sides of the wicket.
