‘Arco’: Theatrical Release Date Set For Natalie Portman Film

EXCLUSIVE: Neon has set a January 23, 2026, theatrical release in New York and Los Angeles for lauded animated sci-fi fantasy film Arco, with a nationwide rollout following on January 30.
The film had a one-week Academy-qualifying run in November. On January 23, the feature will open at AMC Lincoln Square and the Angelika Film Center in New York, and in L.A. it will launch at the AMC Century City and the AMC Burbank.

Since it premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and won the Cristal for Best Film at Annecy (along with the Soundtrack Award), the film has scored nominations for Best Animated Feature from the Golden Globes, Critics Choice Awards and the European Film Awards (where it is also nominated for European Film and European Young Audience Award). The film won the National Board of Review’s Best Animated Feature, and it was also recently nominated for the London Film Critics Award for Best Animated Feature.
Pic is directed by breakthrough filmmaker Ugo Bienvenu, and produced by Natalie Portman and Sophia Mas of mountainA, and Bienvenue and Felix De Givry of Remembers.
Voice cast features Portman, Mark Ruffalo, America Ferrera, Will Ferrell, Andy Samberg and Flea.
The film is abut a 10-year-old boy from a peaceful, distant future who accidentally travels back to the year 2075 and discovers a world in peril. As Arco develops a charming and touching friendship with a young girl named Iris, they band together and along with her trusted robot caretaker Mikki, set out on a quest to get Arco home, while the two children may also be the only ones who can save our planet.
