Government clamps down on hate speech

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has rejected the oppositions calls to recall parliament next week to push through new hate speech laws in response to the Bondi terror attack.
That follows the Federal Government announcing new reforms to crackdown on antisemitism, including increased penalties for preachers who spread hate or promote violence.
The Shadow Immigration Minister has also called for further changes that would allow the Government to strip a person’s Australian Citizenship.
