The Ashes 2025 LIVE: ‘Big mistake’: Weatherald misses out on reprieve after choosing not to challenge lbw

Quite something to think Mitchell Starc hasn’t got a wicket this innings.
I suspect he’s not far away with the new ball. He bowled superbly yesterday in brutal Adelaide conditions despite going without a breakthrough – his last spell was still regularly up between 140-145km/hr. Incredible endurance.

His dominance in the first two Tests has already yielded 18 wickets at 17, and a 30-wicket series is on the cards with potentially five innings for him left to bowl in (assuming he plays the final two Tests of course).
Thirty-five bowlers have cracked that mark in an Ashes, but roughly half of them did so in a six-Test series.
We’re talking names like Lillee, Warne, Bedser, Laker, McGrath, Johnson and Bradman era quick Maurice Tate – Ashes royalty.
England are 8-272 with Stokes on 82 and Archer on 49.
