The reigning champion and her Italian opponent each came in one pound under the 9st 9lb (61kg) lightweight limit, signaling their readiness for the showdown.
The London-born fighter did not shy away from mind games during the face-off, exchanging words with Panatta before reiterating her intentions after the weigh-in.
“I said I was going to break her and that’s exactly what I am going to do,” Dubois declared.
The bout forms part of the undercard of the highly anticipated “Judgement Day” clash between former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua and social media star-turned-boxer Jake Paul, an event that has drawn global attention.
Dubois was also involved in a lively exchange with super-featherweight star Alycia Baumgardner during Wednesday’s pre-fight news conference, adding extra edge to an already stacked fight card.
Unbeaten as a professional, Dubois boasts a record of 11 wins and one draw.
The fight marks her first appearance under Most Valuable Promotions, the boxing outfit co-owned by Jake Paul, which has made significant investments in women’s boxing.
Long tipped as one of the future faces of the sport, Dubois now steps onto a major global platform, with the entire event set to be streamed live on Netflix.
With over 300 million subscribers worldwide, the broadcast offers unprecedented exposure, particularly for fighters on the undercard.
Beyond her achievements in the ring, Dubois proudly embraces her Nigerian heritage. Her mother, Adenike “Nike” Dubois, was born in Nigeria, while her father is a native of Grenada.
Caroline is the younger sister of IBF heavyweight world champion Daniel Dubois, and both siblings have frequently spoken about their Nigerian roots and the strong family values instilled by their mother.
As she prepares to defend her crown on one of boxing’s biggest stages, Dubois carries not only championship ambitions but also the pride of her Nigerian heritage into the ring.
