World’s most popular apps and websites offline after Amazon Web Services goes down

App outages also include Ring and the PlayStation Network (Picture: Getty Images)
Amazon, Roblox, Snapchat, The New York Times’ Wordle and 23 other websites and apps are down at the same time.
Downdetector shows disruptions began at around 7.30am, with hundreds of people saying apps are not working.
Many of the applications operate on Amazon Web Services, Amazon’s cloud computing platform that lets people ‘rent’ servers without the need to buy physical computers or data centres.
