One Stop Colleagues take on mountain climbs for BBC Children in Need

In total 163 trekkers took part in the twelve-hour hike with 62 of those being One Stop employees from different departments around the business.
Together, One Stop colleagues have raised £50,000 (and counting) for the convenience retailers charity partner, BBC Children in Need.
They climbed the eight strenuous peaks, during harsh weather conditions with each peak reaching an altitude of 3,000ft.
BBC Children in Need, which has been a charity partner of One Stop for thirteen years, supports children and young people carrying a load that’s too heavy to manage alone.
Money raised helps BBC Children in Need to be there for hundreds of thousands of children across the UK when they need help the most.
Claire Hoyle, chief campaigns and engagement officer at BBC Children in Need said: “One Stop colleagues and customers always go above and beyond for the charity, and we couldn’t be prouder of everyone who took part.
“At a time when children and young people across the UK need us most we are enormously thankful to all One Stop colleagues and customers for their brilliant support!”
One Stop hosted a ‘pit stop shop’ halfway through the challenge where they provided water, flapjacks, an assortment of sweets, biscuits and provided encouragement to reenergise all the trekkers.
Jack Taylor, community and partnerships manager at One Stop said: “Our colleagues are very passionate about raising money for BBC Children in Need and this challenge shows their dedication.
“The Oggie 8 is very tough – they trained and prepared for weeks and months in advance and we’re all so proud their endurance and achievements. Their incredible fundraising total will help make life lighter for so many children across the UK.”
