Lewes Bonfire: Travel and safety warnings issued ahead of event

Rail and bus operators, emergency services and local authorities have issued warnings ahead of the Lewes Bonfire on 5 November.
Tens of thousands of people attend the annual event in East Sussex, with 40,000 thought to have watched 2024’s procession through the town.
As usual, there will be limited rail services to and from the town, with people who do not live locally being urged not to attend.
Some of the area’s roads will also be shut on the night.
