Commanders QB Jayden Daniels avoids serious hamstring injury, but status unclear for Week 8

Backup Marcus Mariota finished the game for Washington with Daniels sidelined and would be in line to start Week 8’s road game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The hamstring injury is the latest for Daniels amid a frustrating sophomore season. The reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year missed Weeks 3 and 4 due to a knee sprain and highlights a list of notable injured Commanders.
Wide receiver Terry McLaurin (quad) has only appeared in three games. Running back Austin Ekeler (Achilles) was lost for the season in Week 2. Wide receiver Deebo Samuel (heel) was inactive on Sunday.
Quinn also said on Monday that defensive end Dorance Armstrong suffered a significant knee injury on Sunday and will miss the remainder of the season.
