The Los Angeles Dodgers are going back to the World Series, the team’s fifth trip to the Fall Classic in nine seasons.
The World Series begins on Friday, Oct. 24, pitting the Dodgers against the American League champions. Los Angeles is seeking to become baseball’s first repeat champion since the New York Yankees from 1998-2000.
The Dodgers have won eight World Series titles in franchise history: 1955, 1959, 1963, 1965, 1981, 1988, 2020 and 2024. Manager Dave Roberts has overseen the club’s last two championships and this marks his fifth appearance in the World Series as Los Angeles skipper.
