Th Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna starrer opened at the box office on October 21, with decent numbers. Accroding to Sacnilk, Thamma earned Rs 7.58 crore India net on its first day for all languages. Thama had an overall 15.76% Hindi Occupancy on Tuesday.

Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa starrer romance drama is however, lagging way behind Thamma, although the movie received love and praises from fans. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat minted Rs 2.85 crore at the time of writing the article. The movie had an overall 19.76% Hindi Occupancy on Tuesday.

After movies like Stree, Bhediya, and Munjya, Thamma is the fifth entry in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe. The movie explores vampire mythology and opens in theatres on October 21. Producer Dinesh Vijan stated that, while he has not watched Lokah, he has heard it is extraordinary, and that Thamma is founded in mythology, which distinguishes it from the other films. Apart from Ayushmann and Rashmika, the cast includes Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Sanjay Dutt, Aparshakti Khurana, Aasif Khan, Sapthami Gowda, and others.
