The Celebrity Traitors fans are just realising Cat Burns is famous for writing a viral song they already know and love.
The 25-year-old singer is among 19 famous faces who joined the BBC competition hoping to bag up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice.
Host Claudia Winkleman selected Cat as one of her Traitors, alongside chat show host Jonathan Ross and comedian Alan Carr.
As a Gen Z star, the songwriter isn’t as recognisable as the likes of Jonathan and Alan, who have been in the spotlight for decades.
However, she shot to mainstream fame in 2022 after her song ‘Go’,’ went viral on TikTok.
Even those who don’t use social media are likely to have heard the break-up tune, which went on to be nominated for Song of the Year at the 2023 BRITs.

It tells the story of being cheated on by a partner, with Cat singing from the perspective of the infidelity victim.
The chorus states:
“So don’t call this number anymore
‘Cause I won’t be there for you like I was before
I should have listened to my friends
They always know best
They said you were just like all the rest, so
I’ll sing it loud in case you don’t already know
Pack up your s**** and go, go, go, go.”

Cat initially released the song in July 2020 and it was hugely popular.
However, it garnered more attention towards the end of 2021, when TikTok users rediscovered the track and began posting videos of themselves lip syncing to it.
By summer 2022, the pop tune had shot into the UK singles charts and peaked at number two.
But despite its popularity, Celebrity Traitors fans had not connected the dots between Cat and the beloved tune.
Taking to TikTok, one fan shared a clip singing along to ‘Go’ and wrote: “There I was thinking I had no clue who Cat from Traitors was….”
Others were also stunned by the discovery, with a second saying: “She made this song? I thought she just covered it.”
Someone else chimed in with: “I didn’t know this was her song.”
Meanwhile, a long-term fan said: “My favourite genre of TikTok atm is people discovering they like her songs but didn’t know her face hahah. Go stream it xx.”
And a second penned: “How is everyone finding out who Cat Burns is from Traitors? I am watching Traitors BECAUSE of her.”
