EastEnders actress Tameka Empson has opened up about her time on Celebrity Traitors, revealing the luxurious behind-the-scenes lodges BBC stars stayed in — and how she’s coping with her early exit.
Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star at the Pride of Britain Awards yesterday (October 20), Tameka admitted that leaving the show was still a little raw.
“It’s a little bit sore, but I will be watching the rest of the series,” she said, showing she’s still invested in the drama even after leaving.
She also lifted the lid on the accommodation provided for the cast, describing it as surprisingly lavish. “We have our own lodges, they were very nice, they are a bit of a drive away from the Castle, I didn’t count the minutes how long but it was a lovely time away from home,” she explained. When asked if they were on the ‘fancy’ side, she nodded.

Despite the glitz, Tameka said she approached filming with a hands-off attitude, simply following instructions without questioning her surroundings. “They just told me where to go and I went, I didn’t ask any questions,” she said.
The EastEnders star also revealed that leaving the show has given her a new perspective on the series. Having been part of the action but no longer in the thick of it, Tameka can now enjoy the drama like the viewers at home. “I don’t know the end so I will watch it like everyone else without the knot in my stomach this time,” she admitted.
