With early voting in New York City starting this weekend, the mayoral candidates are ramping up for the second and final debate scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 22.
The latest Quinnipiac University poll shows a shift in the New York City mayoral race, now featuring just three candidates after Mayor Eric Adams’ exit. Democrat Zohran Mamdani leads, but is nearly tied with former Governor Andrew Cuomo on who would best represent the city’s interests during a Trump presidency. Overall, Mamdani holds a 13-point advantage over Cuomo among likely voters, with Curtis Sliwa in a distant third.

When is the second New York City mayor’s debate?
The second mayoral election 90-minute debate is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 22, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. ET.
Where can I watch the second New York City mayor’s debate?
The second debate will be broadcast live on Spectrum News NY1 and streamed live on the station’s website. The debate will also be simulcast on C-SPAN.org, C-SPAN Now, C-SPAN Select, and C-SPAN Radio. For Spanish-speaking viewers, the debate will be broadcast on Spectrum Noticias, with a live translation.
NY1 political anchor Errol Lewis, WNYC’s Brian Lehrer and THE CITY’s Katie Honan will moderate the debate.
