Jordan Chiles Gets Playful Movie Debut Condition from ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ Director Jon M Chu

Jordan Chiles and her dance partner, Ezra Sosa, received a playful challenge from Jon M. Chu, director of Crazy Rich Asians, to win the trophy for their movie debut. They are currently contestants on Season 34 of Dancing With the Stars, also known as DWTS.
Chiles and Sosa’s interaction with Chu came after their sensational Wicked-themed rumba, which earned them an impressive score of 39. The three main judges gave them 10s each, while guest judge Chu awarded a 9.
What Condition Did Jon M Chu Give To Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa For Their Debut in His Upcoming Movie?
After Jon M Chu praised them for their performance on the Wicked Night, he was asked by an interviewer from Extra TV whether he would like to see Chiles and Sosa in his next movie. Chu replied with a playful tone: “Yeah, what are we doing? Let’s figure it out.”
Chiles, enthusiastically, responded: “You tell us. We’re in there”
It was then that Chu set a lighthearted condition for their movie debut in his movie:
“First, win this thing.”
However, the interaction didn’t end there. On being asked if Chiles and Sosa were his favorite performers of the night, Chu admitted,: “Guys, you cannot do this to me. But I already told a couple of cameras that yes, it was.”
The praise overjoyed both Chiles and Sosa and couldn’t hide their excitement, with choreographer Sosa commenting, “I am gagged,” in response to Chu recognizing them as the night’s standout performers.
Besides Chiles and Sosa, who scored 39, it was influencer Whitney Leavitt and her dance partner, Mark Ballas, who earned the first 39 on this week’s show. However, it was a disappointing end for Scott Hoying and his dance partner, Rylee Arnold, as they were the contestants to face elimination on Week 6 of the DWTS.
In the previous edition, Arnold had made the finals with her dance partner and Olympic gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik as the pair ended their journey with a fourth-place finish.

Chiles on Whether She’ll Incorporate Gymnastics Flips During Her Time at Dancing With The Stars
After being announced as one of the contestants for DWTS 34, the Paris Olympics gold medalist appeared on Good Morning America, where she was asked whether she planned to incorporate the gymnastics flips she is best known for into her performances on the American reality show. She said:
“Of course. I definitely am going to incorporate what I’m very best known at, to flip. So, I’m hoping, you know, just incorporating that as best as I can.”
On being asked how her gymnastics background might influence her training and performance in dancing, Chiles admitted she isn’t sure how much of her gymnastics training will directly help.
However, she emphasized that the qualities that she has developed through years in gymnastics, including a strong work ethic and discipline, will definitely benefit her on the show.
