Pharrell Williams and Voices of Fire to open the World Series with a live performance in Toronto

Pharrell Williams and Voices of Fire will open the World Series tomorrow with a live performance in Toronto.

Kicking off at 7 p.m. on Oct. 24, the thirteen-time Grammy Award-winning artist will take the field with Bishop Ezekiel Williams’ group Voices of Fire to “welcome fans to the biggest stage in baseball,” according to MLB.

The performance will take place before the Blue Jays face off against the Los Angeles Dodgers at 8 p.m.

Voices of Fire will also perform both the Canadian and U.S. National Anthems.

Coverage will run on FOX and ESPN Radio, and MLB’s 44 international media partners will also broadcast the performance and player introductions to a worldwide audience in over 200 countries and 16 languages around the globe.

In Canada, Sportsnet TV and Radio will continue to provide live national coverage of the entire Fall Classic.

Williams, Voices of Fire and a 25-piece orchestra also starred in the 2025 MLB post-season campaign “October Hits Different” where they performed a live rendition of “ARE YOU READY?” in an empty stadium.

Now, fans will get to see it live from the Rogers Centre. The set list will also include “THE ONE,” from Voices of Fire’s new album “OPHANIM.”

“As the Post-season comes to a dramatic close, fans will have the opportunity to hear the soundtrack to fall baseball live as it ushers in the biggest competition yet,” according to MLB.

During Game 2 on Oct. 25, the Jonas Brothers will also perform in Toronto after the fifth inning as this year’s Stand Up To Cancer ambassadors.

The band will play the campaign anthem “I Can’t Lose” live from the Rogers Centre in a special in-stadium moment.

And for those who don’t have tickets to the game, there are still lots of ways to watch the Jays in Toronto. For our favourite local spots, check out our recommendations of places that will be screening the Series.

Or, join the free viewing party at Nathan Phillips Square, hosted by the City of Toronto. And don’t forget to sport your best Blue Jays gear and bring a blanket or chair to sit on.

“Help turn Nathan Phillips Square into a sea of blue as we cheer on the Jays in the World Series,” Imane Boussaid, communications adviser with the City of Toronto, told Toronto.com earlier this week.
