Coronation Street fans think they have spotted a ‘very significant clue’ that leads to the demise of a beloved Weatherfield resident.
Thos who follow the ITV soap have been calling for Todd Grimshaw to leave Theo Silverton as their controlling relationship continues to intensify.
But Todd is now unknowingly falling deeper into a coercively controlling relationship with his partner, who was revealed to have been this way with partners in the past after bumping into one during a recent cobbles day out at Manchester’s Gay Village.
Earlier this week, after learning that Theo hadn’t been honest about his recent outburst with him, Todd discovered it was Pete whose contract he’s lost.
As viewers know, Pete is who Theo had a one-night stand with in scenes last week, in a bid to upset Todd, who had been drinking with his former flame, Billy Mayhew, after getting the all-clear following a health scare.
Todd headed home to confront Theo, but to make matters worse, George Shuttleworth, who’s now aware of their financial troubles after Todd asked him for a pay review at the Undertakers, arrived and offered the pair a restaurant voucher.
Theo was furious, but ended up breaking down to Todd, calling himself a failure. He was keen to support his partner and later, the pair headed for a drink in the Rovers Return.
But Theo’s emotional state soon turned back into an angry one, as Gary Windass told Theo that he’d almost convinced Pete to resume the contract, until Todd “messed it up again” by telling him to stay away.

Theo was seen glaring at his boyfriend from a distance, with a message from his bank revealing he was now in his overdraft, with their money troubles getting even more complicated – especially after Theo splashed out on a new car for his partner.
And Corrie fans fear the car could be ‘significant’ to what’s to come. Writing on Reddit, Jenson2025 said: “Anyone else feel this is going to be very significant in the coming months otherwise what’s the point in it being highlighted?
“I have said for a few months that I think Theo will kill Billy and I think what will happen is he’ll become convinced that Billy and Todd are having an affair and in a rage, drive towards Billy and Todd in Todd’s new car with the intention of running them over and Billy will die.
“I can then see Todd in hospital for a while and Theo will lie to both Todd and the police and say that it was an accident. Todd will initially believe him because he won’t want to believe he’s capable of such an awful thing. But this is where Christina will come in – she’ll tell the police (backed up by George) that it was deliberate as Theo was scarily jealous and paranoid about Todd and Billy. And Todd will realise the same.”
Northernplace89 replied: “New car will be murder weapon.” Public_Treacle_6634 added: “Its defo a highlight, why all of a sudden has Todd decided to get a car? Maybe Theo will kill Billy and because Todd is being so brainwashed by Theo, Todd helps Theo get rid of the body and the car is used to take Billy and dig and bury him somewhere. It would be kinda repetitive if its just another knock over and run. I feel something darker for Theo.”
