Hollyoaks Later is back again for a special one-off episode tonight as part of Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks‘ 30th anniversary celebrations, with the teen characters getting up to all sorts of mischief in Liverpool. And if you know Hollyoaks Later, you know it’s a lot more sexy than the main show. Anya Lawrence, who plays Vicky Grant, revealed she actually asked the show bosses to tone down one of her scenes, which they agreed to.
“There’s definitely some sexy scenes,” the actor told The Mirror. “I was actually written a much more risqué one but we did change it and they were really great and supportive about it.”
Lawrence also admitted she wasn’t really aware of the infrequent late-night spin-off before hand, but now she’s a true convert. In fact, she thinks it needs to happen more often.

“I want to do this every single week. It was so unreal to shoot and I’m really exciting about it.

“I feel very lucky to be involved in it. I think, dare I say, it’s going to be the best episode that we’ve had in a while. It’s going to be great,” she added.
The hour-long episode isn’t just set in Liverpool, but it was also shot there, something Lawrence relished.
“I loved filming on location and the set was unbelievable,” she continued.

“It felt like we were on a different show and it was good to work with different people. You can get away a bit more and it allows people to be in their element with a bit more creatively,” she said.
“It kind of gets you to a place where you can tell your story more accurately which is good. I’ve got [a] taste for Laters now. I want it every week.”
Hollyoaks Later airs at 10.05pm on E4 tonight. Hollyoaks airs Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights at 7pm on E4 and is usually available from 6am on the same day on the Channel 4 streaming service.
