All the TfL lines that will be shut this weekend after week of Tube chaos

Here is everything you need to know to plan ahead this weekend

A number of London’s transport lines will be part-shut or skip stops this weekend, affecting passengers across the capital. Network Rail and Transport for London has scheduled a programme of track and maintenance work across the Tube, Overground, Tram and Elizabeth line.

A section of the Piccadilly line in West London will also remain shut until Saturday due to safety concerns around Storm Benjamin. However, there are still plenty of ways to get around, including rail replacement buses in the most impacted areas.

But, it’s not nice to be caught out so we’ve broken down the closures taking place across Saturday and Sunday:

Bakerloo line

Saturday, October 25 – Sunday, October 26

No service between Queen’s Park and Harrow & Wealdstone due to Network Rail maintenance work.

Passengers are encouraged to use alternative Tube services and local bus routes.

Central line

Friday, October 24 – Saturday, October 25

Trains will not stop at Notting Hill Gate during Friday Night Tube from 2.30am to 4.30pm.

This is to allow for track work.

Circle line

Saturday, October 25 – Sunday, October 26

No service between Edgware Road and Tower Hill (via Victoria) due to track work.

Passengers are encouraged to use alternative Tube services or local bus routes.

District line

Saturday, October 25 – Sunday, October 26

No service between Embankment/Edgware Road and Ealing Broadway, Kensington (Olympia), Richmond and Wimbledon due to track work.

Passengers are encouraged to use alternative Tube services or local/rail replacement bus routes.

Thursday, October 23 – Saturday, October 25

No service between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge due to the yellow weather warning issued by the Met Office in response to Storm Benjamin. Transport bosses say the “precautionary measure” was made to protect trains from wheel damage caused by wet weather and leaf fall.

Passengers are encouraged to use the Metropolitan line instead.

Friday, October 24 – Saturday, October 25

Trains will not stop at Earl’s Court during Friday Night Tube between 2.30am and 4.30am due to track work.

Passengers can travel to/from Gloucester Road or Hammersmith using local bus services.

Lioness line

Saturday, October 25 – Sunday, October 26

No service between Euston and Willesden Junction due to Network Rail maintenance work.

Passengers are encouraged to use alternative Tube services or local/rail replacement bus routes.

Sunday, October 26

No service between Willesden Junction and Watford Junction until 7.45am due to Network Rail maintenance work.

Passengers are encouraged to use alternative Tube or local bus routes.

Mildmay line

Saturday, October 25 – Tuesday, October 28

No service between Willesden Junction and Clapham Junction due to Network Rail track work.

Passengers are encouraged to use Tube and rail services, or local bus routes.

Sunday, October 26

No service between Gospel Oak and Stratford until 11am due to Network Rail track work.

Passengers are encouraged to use local or rail replacement buses.

Sunday, October 26

No service between Camden Road and Stratford after 10.15pm due to Network Rail track work.

Passengers are encouraged to use local or rail replacement buses.

Suffragette line

Sunday, October 26

No service between Barking and Barking Riverside until 12.30pm due to Network Rail maintenance work.

Passengers are encouraged to use local bus route EL1.

Weaver line

Sunday, October 26 – Thursday, October 30

No service between Hackney Downs and Chingford after 10.45pm each night due to Network Rail maintenance work.

Passengers are encouraged to use alternative Tube services or local/rail replacement services.

Windrush line

Sunday, October 26

No service between New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace/West Croydon due to Network Rail maintenance work.

Passengers are encouraged to local or Southern Railway replacement buses.

Tram closures

Saturday, October 25 – Sunday, November 2

No service between Wimbledon and Therapia Lane due to engineering works.

Passengers are encouraged to use local bus routes. Replacement buses will also run between Wimbledon and Waddon Marsh.

Elizabeth line closures

Sunday, October 26

No service between Paddington and Ealing Broadway until 7.45am due to Network Rail track work. There will be reduced service between Paddington to Maidenhead/Heathrow Terminal 4 from 7.45am.

Passengers are encouraged to use Tube services or local bus routes.
