A number of Strictly Come Dancing stars were looking almost unrecognisable as they are set to honour a pop icon this week.
On Saturday (October 25), the show will pay tribute to some of the world’s biggest music stars – including Beyonce, Harry Styles and Celine Dion – when the 11 remaining couples take to the ballroom floor for their icon-inspired dances.
It’s the second year that ‘Icons Week’ has been a theme for the BBC One dance contest, having been launched last year to celebrate the show’s 20th anniversary, with the much-loved show having first hit screens back in 2004.
At the time, it was confirmed that the couples will dance to songs from their favourite music heroes and audiences might even catch some contestants emulating an icon.
The songs and dances for Saturday’s show, which marks week five of the competition, have already been revealed in full as being;
- Alex Kingston and Johannes Radebe – Foxtrot to Here You Come Again by Dolly Parton
- Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin – Cha Cha to Break Free by Ariana Grande
- Balvinder Sopal and Julian Caillon – Quickstep to Texas Hold ‘Em by Beyonce
- Ellie Goldstein and Vito Coppola – Salsa to Spice Girls Medley
- George Clarke and Alexis Warr – Jive to As It Was by Harry Styles
- Harry Aikines-Aryeetey and Karen Hauer – Argentine Tango to Caught Up by Usher
- Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Lauren Oakley – American Smooth to Purple Rain by Prince
- Karen Carney and Carlos Gu – Samba to Think Twice by Celine Dion
- La Voix and Aljaz Skorjanec – Salsa to Strong Enough by Cher
- Lewis Cope and Katya Jones – Quickstep to Ring Of Fire by Johnny Cash
- Vicky Pattison and Kai Widdrington – Couple’s Choice to Fight For This Love by Cheryl
But it’s not just the competing couples getting involved as the professional dancers are to embody the different eras of Britney Spears’ music career as part of the show’s icons week.
Their group dance, which contains nods to music videos including Oops!… I Did It Again, will take place during Sunday night’s (October 26) results show.
The performance from the professionals will see Welsh dancer Amy Dowden dressed in a pleated skirt, knee-length socks and white shirt, in a nod to Spears’ look from the music video … Baby One More Time.

Also in the dance, Katya Jones wears a red latex bodysuit, mimicking the singer’s outfit from Oops!… I Did It Again, with Nancy Xu wearing a Toxic-inspired blue air hostess outfit.
US singer Britney, 43, has a host of memorable looks, including the bejewelled top and shorts she wore while holding a yellow python during her 2001 MTV Video Music Awards performance.
Jowita Przystal will wear an outfit inspired by this, with Nadiya Bychkova paying homage to her Circus-era in sparkly black hot pants, and a ringmaster-style red and gold top.

Back in September, when the dances were pre-recorded, an insider told The Sun: “There is so much buzz around this dance. The costumes are on point and the women let it rip in one of their sexiest dances ever.”
They added: “But it might have some people blushing and covering their eyes.”
The latest results show on Sunday (October 26) will also see West End star Rachel Zegler perform Don’t Cry For Me Argentina from the musical Evita.
Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturday at 6.25pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. The results show airs on Sunday at 7.15pm.
