Injury report: Haynes could play for UM; MSU gets back Martinez, Ramil

East Lansing — Michigan State and Michigan will get a few players back for Saturday night’s rivalry game.
Michigan State returned left tackle Stanton Ramil and safety Nikai Martinez to the lineup, and Michigan returned tight end Marlin Klein.
Michigan State (3-4, 0-4 Big Ten) will get a bump on the offensive line, where Ramil returns to action after going down with an injury in Week 4’s loss at Southern Cal. His return slides Conner Moore back to right tackle, where the transfer has played his best.
Martinez is also back for the Spartans. He started the season out for two games before playing against Youngstown State and Southern Cal, but he has not played since a head-to-head collision with defensive tackle Quindarius Dunnigan in that latter game.
Defensive tackle Grady Kelly will also return after missing last week’s game at Indiana for the birth of his son.
For Michigan State, offensive guard Kristian Phillips, kick returner Alante Brown, linebacker Marcellius Pulliam, nickelback Ade Willie, tight ends Jayden Savoury and Brennan Parachek, kicker Tarik Ahmetbasic and long snapper Kaden Schickel remain out.
Michigan gets a big piece of its offense back in Klein, its starting tight end who missed last week’s game against Washington after suffering an injury at Southern Cal.
The Wolverines (5-2, 3-1) might also get back a big piece of the run game in Justice Haynes, who is questionable to play. Haynes averages 117.5 rushing yards per game, fifth best among all running backs in FBS. Offensive tackle Brady Norton is also questionable.
The Wolverines will be without safety Rod Moore and left tackle Evan Link, who are both listed as out. So is third string running back Micah Ka’apana and backup tight end Hogan Hansen.
