This finale of The Block 2025 is underway, with this year’s homes set to go under the hammer in Daylesford, Victoria.
And it could be a tough year to be a Block contestant, with the absence of uber-rich megabuyer Adrian Portelli, who bought all five homes at last year’s auctions before insisting he was bowing out of his annual auction day appearances.
There’s also the not-so-small matter of the home’s price guides: All are well over $3 million, which would mean any successful sale in tonight’s finale would make for an instant record for Daylesford, a lush country escape around 90 minutes north-west of Melbourne.
Nine have this afternoon dropped a teaser for the finale suggesting that there is drama in at least one of the auctions, which took place yesterday but have been a closely guarded secret until tonight- more on that below.
