Forward Obi Toppin (leg soreness) added to the list of Pacers’ injured players

MINNEAPOLIS — Pacers forward Obi Toppin left Sunday’s game against the Timberwolves with right leg soreness and will not return according to Pacers public relations staff, tacking yet another key player to the list of the Pacers’ injured

The Pacers entered Sunday’s game with seven players listed as out including starters Bennedict Mathurin and Andrew Nembhard, top reserve T.J. McConnell and All-Star point guard Tyrese Haliburton, out for the season with an Achilles tendon tear. Toppin, who scored the seventh most total points off the bench of any NBA player last season, means the Pacers are without six of their top eight players from last season’s NBA Finals run.

Toppin posted nine points and six rebounds prior to the injury.
