‘Constantine 2′ Update: James Gunn Addresses Status of Long-Awaited Sequel

James Gunn is talking Constantine 2!
The DC Universe co-head spoke out in a recent interview with BobaTalks on YouTube.
During the discussion, the host brought up Keanu Reeves saying that they had another draft of a script for the long-awaited sequel.

“Keanu Reeves said that they had another draft of Constantine 2 that they were…bringing into the studio. I know there’s a really high bar for greenlighting Elseworlds movies. Is this something that there’s been much discussion about?” he asked.
“I’ve discussed it on and off. I discussed it with Keanu. So, it’s…I think that’s a great group of guys. I like all those people a lot. I think they’re talented, but I have not read any script yet,” James said. Watch above.
Three years ago, it was announced that Keanu would reprise his role as the supernatural exorcist and demonologist John Constantine, who in the original is dying but stays around to save his soul by keeping demons from hell from breaching earth.
The 2005 film brought in over $230 million at the box office.
