Report: Pacers sign dunk contest champ Mac McClung to multi-year contract

Mac McClung jumped over a Kia and now he’s officially jumping into the NBA.
It’s the first standard NBA contract for McClung, who is the only three-peat dunk contest champion in league history.
The Pacers plan to waive former No. 2 overall pick James Wiseman to create roster space for McClung, Charania reported.
McClung, 26, has previously played on three separate two-way contracts with the Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers and Orlando Magic. He has averaged 5.5 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists in six career NBA games.
But the six-foot-two guard has been successful in the G League, with a career line of 22.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 5.9 assists.
McClung will join a Pacers squad that will likely be without star guard Tyrese Haliburton for the season as he recovers from an Achilles tear suffered in Game 7 of the NBA finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Indiana is also facing several injuries across its roster right now, including most of its guard rotation. T.J. McConnell is out for a month with a hamstring injury, while Andrew Nembhard, Benedict Mathurin and Taelon Peter are all day-to-day.
