Canadian lottery player wins millions in weekend draw

One Canadian lottery player’s life was instantly transformed over the weekend after a multimillion-dollar win.
The Lotto 6/49 draw took place on Saturday, Oct. 25, and the Classic Draw winning numbers were 06, 08, 19, 39, 43, and 49, with bonus 46, and one lottery player managed to match all six winning numbers. The lucky winner is now $5 million richer, and according to PlayNow, the life-changing ticket was sold in Ontario.
Someone else managed to match five of the six winning numbers and the bonus number, winning the Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw second prize worth $208,456.70. The ticket was also sold in Ontario. The third prize will be split between 69 lottery players, each of whom will receive $1,268.60.
At the time, the Gold Ball prize was worth $14 million. Although no one won the top prize, someone in Ontario scored the $1-million White Ball prize after they matched the winning number 48044398-02.
In B.C., no one won the $500,000 Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw Extra prize. However, one Canadian lottery player is now $1 million richer after winning the Encore top prize.
The most recent Lotto 6/49 jackpot win was on Oct. 15, when someone from Alberta won the $36-million Gold Ball prize. The next Lotto 6/49 draw is on Wednesday, Oct. 29, and the jackpot is now at $16 million.

The most recent Lotto Max draw was on Friday, Oct. 24, and the top prize was worth $30 million. However, no one won the jackpot or the second prize worth $169,981. A total of 33 people will split the third prize, and each will receive $5,150.90.
Although there were no winners in B.C. for the Lotto Max Extra prize worth $500,000, one Ontario lottery player will soon take home $1 million after winning the top Encore prize.
The most recent Lotto Max jackpot winner was a lottery player who purchased their ticket in Edmonton, Alta. The draw took place on Oct. 7, and the winner was instantly $15 million richer.
The next Lotto Max draw is on Tuesday, Oct. 28, and the jackpot is worth $40 million.
