Who is throwing the ceremonial first pitch for game 4 of the MLB World Series?

The Los Angeles Dodgers have taken control of the 2025 World Series after a dramatic Game 3 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays that will live long in the memory.
Freeman delivers for Dodgers in 18th inning
Seven years after the longest game in World Series history, the Dodgers and Blue Jays nearly broke the record again, battling through 18 innings on Monday, October 27. Los Angeles finally prevailed 6-5 after Freddie Freeman hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 18th, ending an unforgettable six-hour, 39-minute epic.
Dodgers one step closer to the title
The win gives Los Angeles a 2-1 lead in the Fall Classic. The Dodgers could clinch the Commissioner’s Trophy at home if they win Games 4 and 5, both set to be played at Dodger Stadium. The next matchup is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET today, Tuesday, October 28.
Orel Hershiser to throw Game 4 first pitch
Hideo Nomo threw the ceremonial first pitch before Game 3, the first of the series in Los Angeles. On Tuesday, another Dodgers legend will take the mound for the pregame honor.
Orel Hershiser, who played for the Dodgers from 1983 to 1994 and again in 2000, will throw the ceremonial first pitch ahead of Game 4. The 67-year-old won the World Series with Los Angeles in 1988, the same year he earned World Series MVP honors and captured the National League Cy Young Award.
The three-time All-Star was the last Dodgers pitcher to record consecutive complete games in the postseason until Yoshinobu Yamamoto matched the feat in Games 1 and 2 of this year’s World Series.
Game 5 plans still under wraps
The Dodgers have not yet announced who will throw the ceremonial first pitch before Game 5, which will also take place at Dodger Stadium on Wednesday, October 29. If Los Angeles does not win the next two games, the World Series will return to Toronto for Games 6 and potentially 7 on October 31 and November 1.
