Microsoft Azure Down: Server Outage Impacts Multiple Services Including 365, Teams, Store, Entra

Users of Microsoft Azure on Wednesday reported disruptions, particularly around the Azure Portal and services in East US. The official Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) had no direct involvement – this is a cloud-service issue. Outage tracker Downdetector recorded more than 890 reports, as users complained of disruptions across Microsoft’s core productivity platforms.

The official Azure Support account tweeted, “We’re investigating an issue impacting Azure Front Door services. Customers may experience intermittent request failures or latency. Updates will be provided shortly.”

The Azure status page for a global outage shows “There are currently no active events.”

Microsoft Azure is not reported to be globally down, but a localised issue affecting the East US region and the Virtual Desktop service is under investigation.
