Luka Doncic put up his third 40-point game of the young NBA season in the Los Angeles Lakers’ NBA Cup win over the Memphis Grizzlies.
Doncic finished with 44 points in his first game in a week.
Doncic added 12 rebounds and six assists to his outstanding performance.
Friday’s win gave the Lakers an early edge in West Group B, which also contains the Los Angeles Clippers. New Orleans Pelicans and Dallas Mavericks.
Doncic and Co. will be back on the court on Sunday against the Miami Heat. Doncic will try to go for a fourth-straight 40-point performance in that contest.
