The Smashing Machine

A24’s The Smashing Machine, the biopic about MMA fighter Mark Kerr, is now available for digital purchase and rental.
Written and directed by Benny Safdie, the film stars Dwayne Johnson as Kerr and tracks his road to becoming a top fighter in the UFC. Emily Blunt stars as Kerr’s girlfriend, Dawn. The cast also includes Ryan Bader, Bas Rutten and Oleksandr Usyk.
The film earned $11.4 million at the domestic box office, $20.2 million worldwide.
The A24 online store is also taking preorders for a Smashing Machine 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray that is expected to ship in January. The packaging includes exclusive slipcase artwork and six collectible postcards.
Bonus material includes a commentary with Safdie, a “What It Means to be a Fighter: Making The Smashing Machine” featurette, and a 16mm camera test.
