Could Rogue and Gambit be the next pair of heroes to join Marvel Rivals? It sure seems that way, at least according to an unconventional tease from developer NetEase Games.
Marvel Rivals is currently in the middle of Season 4, which started Sept. 12 and added Angela and Daredevil to the character roster. On Wednesday, developer NetEase Games posted the latest patch notes for its arena hero battler. In the header art for the patch notes, NetEase Games included low-opacity character designs for Rogue and Gambit. Below is the full image. Turn up your brightness.

Though NetEase Games hasn’t officially confirmed the duo’s arrival, this image tracks with a string of late-October leaks that suggested the two would join the game in a romance-themed Season 5. Season 4 is set to end on Nov. 14.
Both heroes would be popular additions to the Marvel Rivals roster. Gambit has seen a bit of a cultural resurgence in recent years, thanks to Channing Tatum’s turn as the character in the 2024 film Deadpool and Wolverine. Rogue, too, has also maintained a high level of cultural relevance — most notably as one of the most annoying cards to play against in Marvel Snap in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. I’ll never forgive you, Rogue users.
Beyond balance changes, the latest patch notes also announced an extension of the Marvel Zombies event (it’ll now end on Dec. 5) and noted a few fixes for Daredevil’s abilities. You can read the whole list of changes here.
