The Newcastle Jets are delighted to announce that Academy graduate and homegrown player Will Dobson has signed a contract extension which will see the 18-year-old midfielder remain at the Club until the end of the 2027/28 Isuzu Ute A-League season.
Dobson made his A-League debut in Round One of the 2024/25 season, coming on as a substitute against Melbourne City.
The local junior went on to make 12 appearances in total last season.
Dobson also played a critical role in the Newcastle Jet’s 2025 Australia Cup winning campaign, scoring in the quarter final clash against Macarthur FC. The midfielder would go on to feature in all matches as Mark Milligan’s side lifted the trophy.
Dobson is thrilled to be able to continue his football journey at his hometown Club.

I love the direction that the Club is heading in under Mark and I’m very thankful to be given the opportunity to continue to develop and grow in this environment. I know what this Club means to the City and region and I want to bring more joy to our loyal fans.”
